McClintock Plaza, located at 1202 Kettner Blvd in Downtown San Diego, is an adaptive reuse of a c.1910 historic building (Bekins Storage Warehouse). In the early 1980’s, we worked with the City of San Diego to develop the structural criteria to be used in the evaluation and strengthening of existing structures for adaptive reuse which became the standard by which other projects in San Diego were evaluated.
